There is nothing better than picking up a camera and being able to capture that perfect moment in time, so that it can last forever. I continue to gain my inspiration for my shots from my own personal life experiences. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003- this has forever changed my life. My mother's struggle has taught me to never take a single moment for granted and to see the beauty in everything around me. I shoot with this purpose in mind..find the extraordinary in the ordinary. I continue to instill this into my high school photography students as they create amazing works of visual art.

The camera is a powerful vehicle to deliver very powerful messages. I feel I have been given the passion for photography in order to capture those extraordinary moments.

Above all else...

I want to spread HOPE to those who feel their creativity has left them.
I want to show that creativity can LIVE within all of us.
I want to give my students things they can CREATE day to day to enrich their lives.
I want to INSPIRE individuals daily through my existence on this planet.

My passion is to inspire those around me through my talents and gifts. Art is what makes me whole. When I have my camera in my hand I feel complete. I love learning new techniques and tricks to pass along to my students. Expressing myself through images allows me to create moments frozen in time.

Ok here it is!

Why P!nk'd Chic Studios you ask... well ok so maybe you aren't asking, but it is time for me to clear it up.

I have been through a lot of life changes this past year.  All in a year I have changed a position in my career, quit something that consumed all of my free time (coaching cheer), lost my father-in-law, stood by a family member in recovery, saw my mother loose her job that she has had for 25 years, sent a brother off to war in Afghanistan, received my Master's Degree in Education Media Design and Technology; all while raising a 4 year old, being a wife, and somewhat fulfilling duties to being a friend.

So needless to say I have spent very little time on myself or for myself for that matter.

Over the past few years I have felt all of my creativity being sucked from my soul day by day.  The creativity that once fueled my life movements had come to a screeching halt.  Through the process of eliminating the hast from my life, I have began to feel a new sense of rebirth taking place.

I picked up my camera, dusted off the sewing machine, and uncovered the paint brushes!

I feel like my world is now back in motion.

I wanted a place where I could spread HOPE to those who feel their creativity has left them.
I want to show that creativity can LIVE within all of us. 
I want to give my readers things they can CREATE day to day to enrich their lives.
I want to INSPIRE individuals daily through my existence on this planet.

P!nk'd Chic Studios is a collection of my musings, a meeting place of sorts, where all of my ideas, pictures, yummy eats, and banterings can come together in one place.
